Business Challenge

The initial mobile launch was a MVP for iOS with a limited feature set. This was not enough to accommodate social media marketers and community managers who are often working in the field and need certain functionality on the go to be able to do their job well.

Potential prospects were asking increasingly about mobile capabilities during sales presentations and current customers threatened to not renew their subscription due to lack of mobile features.

My Role

I was the only designer on the mobile team. We were a small team with one product manager, five mobile engineers and one QA engineer cross-collaborating closely with all other teams to expand and improve mobile functionality to meet our growing mobile centric customer base.

My day to day responsibilities included meeting with customers to identify pain points and user needs, creating user flow, wireframe, interactive prototypes and hi-fidelity designs for customer feedback sessions and design reviews. I was also working closely with the mobile engineering team to ensure a smooth design handoff.
